The Zambia Women's National Team has commenced their international camp in Germany as they prepare for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The team arrived at the SpVgg Greuther Fürth sports complex on Thursday morning. Located in northern Bavaria, the SpVgg Greuther Fürth facility will serve as the training ground for the Copper Queens during their stay in Germany. For three weeks, the team is scheduled to participate in three friendly matches against the Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, and Germany. The day began with a recovery session to ensure that the players are in prime condition for the intense training ahead. Following that, they engaged in various ball-skill exercises, running drills, and other performance-related activities. Under the guidance of their head coach, Bruce Mwape, the Copper Queens are eager to make a strong start to their 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup campaign. Their first match will be against Japan on 22nd July in Hamilton. Four days later, they will face Spain at Eden Park, followed by their final group C fixture against Costa Rica in Hamilton, which will take place five days after the Spain encounter.
