Kapenta Swimming Club secured victory in the Second League Gala at OYDC Swimming Pool, dominating the competition with a total of 1,766 points across both men's and women's categories. The event, featuring 12 clubs, showcased Mary Sitamulaho's outstanding achievements in the girls seven years and under category, including wins in the 50 meters breaststroke, 100 meters backstroke, and 50 meters butterfly. Namwezi Mulligan also excelled, claiming victories in the 50, 100, and 200 meters backstrokes, among other events. Torpedo Swim Club secured the second position with 1,638 points, followed by LICS Warriors and Ndola Rapids in third and fourth place with 1,033 and 843 points, respectively. Kalene secured fifth place with 729 points, Trident took sixth with 713 points, and ORCAS claimed seventh place with 388 points. The rankings continued with Baobab at 241 points, Lusaka Dolphins at 227 points, Dynamix at 170 points, Lechwe at 136 points, and Kitwe at 116 points. Zambia Swimming Union's General Secretary, Sophie Peach, praised the swimmers for their excellent performances and noted the presence of new records, currently undergoing verification.
