The National Sports Council of Zambia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts, organized a workshop yesterday specifically tailored for coaches and technical officials affiliated with National Sports Federations located on the Copperbelt. At the event, Mr. Gibson Muyaule, Acting Director of Sports, took charge of officiating and represented Permanent Secretary Mr. Kangwa Chileshe. Chileshe expressed confidence in the workshop's comprehensive agenda, encompassing topics such as the National Sport Policy, an overview of the National Sports Council of Zambia, and the dissemination of the Zambian Coaching framework. He said he anticipated that the workshop will effectively impart knowledge crucial for sports development and management. Furthermore, Chileshe envisions that the increased knowledge will empower coaches to engage in meaningful interactions, facilitating the exchange of experiences and discussions about common challenges faced in their coaching endeavors. The one-day workshop, hosted in Ndola, served a dual purpose,not only does it contribute to capacity building among participants, but it also acts as a platform fostering interaction and collaboration between the National Sports Council of Zambia and the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts,it also reflected a commitment to advancing the skills and knowledge of those involved in sports on the Copperbelt.
