The Zambia Women's National Hockey Team, known as the Golden Girls, have officially commenced their residential camp in Lusaka, in preparation for the Hockey 5s World Cup Oman 2024. The team of 9, entered camp on Monday, January 8. Following a 9-day local camp, the team will journey to Muscat, Oman, gearing up for the World Cup competition commencing on January 17. Grouped with Australia, Ukraine, and rivals South Africa in Group B, Zambia will engage in their first two games on January 24, facing South Africa in the morning and later clashing with Ukraine on the same day in the afternoon. The final group match against Australia is scheduled for January 25. The Hockey 5s World Cup is set to unfold from January 24 to 27, 2024. FULL SQUAD IN CAMP (GOALKEEPERS) Esther Mwale, Chengelo Chungu (INFIELD) Annie Chalwe, Loveness Mudenda, Martha Nankala, Queen Mutangama, Rita Katoka, Carol Nakombe, Ireen Mulenga. Brenan Kalunga is set to join Camp today.
