The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Lusaka region office has officially initiated the "Kopa Jerseys" program and provided essential team attire to numerous football clubs within the region. This initiative, designed to bolster grassroots football and foster community cohesion, involves furnishing jerseys to local clubs facing financial constraints in acquiring proper team uniforms. Gathering at the football house, representatives from FAZ Lusaka commenced the jersey distribution, eliciting excitement from Lusaka clubs eager to receive new gear and expressing gratitude for the initiative. FAZ general secretary Reuben Kamanga emphasized the significance of such endeavors in nurturing talent and cultivating a robust football culture at the grassroots level. "Our aim is to provide tangible support to local clubs, allowing them to focus on the game without the burden of financial constraints," he stated. The provision of jerseys forms a vital aspect of FAZ's comprehensive strategy to invest in and elevate football at the grassroots level. By ensuring access to quality jerseys for local clubs, FAZ aims to contribute to the holistic development of football talent in the country. Moreover, Lusaka Provincial Chairman Mr. Jordan Maliti reiterated that the support extends to match balls, which will soon be provided to further alleviate financial pressure on clubs.
