Red Arrows Rugby Club, the current National League champions, will be participating in the Klerksdorp Sevens Festival in South Africa this weekend. For the past ten years, Red Arrows have dominated the domestic league. Now, they aim to demonstrate and prove their dominance outside the country. This international participation comes after they won their fifth trophy of the season by defeating Green Eagles 36-7 in the Lusaka Challenge. This season, Arrows have been exceptional, retaining the league title and securing victories in three additional tournaments: the Nchanga 10s, Owen Busanga, and Diggers Mopani Copper Mines competitions. Facing unfamiliar opponents is a challenge the Arrows are eager to embrace. Chishimba acknowledged that they do not know how the teams they will encounter in South Africa play, making the competition tough and tricky. Nevertheless, their determination to succeed remains unwavering. With their commitment to the South African tournament, Arrows are likely to deploy their B team at the Heroes Sevens Championship in Kabwe this Saturday. Their coach said they have enough manpower to play in both tournaments.
