Zambia's Men's and Women's Hockey Team coaches, Elvis Bwalya and Floyd Chomba, have named their provisional squads for the Olympic Qualifiers 2023, scheduled for October in South Africa. In the men's tournament, Zambia will compete against hosts South Africa, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, and Ghana. On the other hand, the women's team, known as the Golden Girls, will have to beat hosts South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana for the one direct slot allocated to Africa for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Paris Olympic Qualifiers will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from October 29 to November 5, 2023.
