Special Olympics Zambia had the opportunity to take part in the AUSC sports session in Livingstone, as well as today's race, which was attended by the Ministry of Sports and Arts. Vidah Chimama, an athlete from Special Olympics Zambia, demonstrated how bocce is played to the AUSC Region 5 delegates and emphasized how stakeholders can come together to support Special Olympics athletes. Constance Nalishebo, the Mayor of Livingstone, was in attendance to grace the event and represent the city. She delivered an inspiring speech, addressing some of the challenges faced in sports. "Utilize the power of sports in communities, as sports has broken down barriers worldwide and brought people together," she stated. The Mayor of Livingstone also encouraged all the stakeholders present to take advantage of World Tourism Day and make use of the opportunity to visit various tourism sites.
