The Zambia Martial Arts Federation (ZAMAF) successfully concluded its second and final day of the strategic planning workshop, leaving the federation delegates optimistic about the progress achieved. Day two of the workshop focused on refining the drafts of the mission statement, fundamental values, and vision of the federation. In addition, strategic priorities and key performance areas were outlined, allowing for a clear definition of the areas in which ZAMAF will be held accountable. Mr. Martin Sekeleti, the General Secretary of ZAMAF, expressed gratitude to the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) for organizing and supporting the workshop. He highlighted that the strategic plan, once finalized, will enable the federation to function efficiently and systematically. The workshop was also assisted by Prudence Nswana, NOCZ Safe Sports Officer, who provided support from the Secretariat. Nswana emphasized the workshop's objective to strengthen the federation and formulate a comprehensive strategy for the next five years. She remained hopeful that ZAMAF would remain committed throughout the process until they create a consolidated document plan ready for implementation in 2024. To ensure a polished and effective strategic plan, a refining committee has been appointed. Their task is to fine-tune the draft before it is compiled, endorsed by the federation's board, and put into action. With a clear vision and well-defined strategic priorities, ZAMAF looks forward to a future marked by progress and growth in the realm of martial arts in Zambia. The federation's commitment to efficient planning will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement and success of martial arts in the country.
