Zambia Fitness Federation has been licensed by the World Fitness Governing Body, the World Fitness Federation (WFF). This means that there will be more growth in the sport as the World Coordinating body recognizes Zambia's efforts in fitness. This license is important as it will instill confidence in the weightlifters as they participate in the Championships at a global level at the 2023 WFF Pro-Am Asia Pacific Championship in Tokyo, Japan, running from September 17th, 2023. The World Fitness Federation Zambia has expressed confidence in the athletes who are set to participate in the World Fitness Championships. WFF Lusaka Province Chairperson, Given Chanda, said the team is targeting nothing short of medals. He has also encouraged Zambia to rally behind the team and has requested the corporate world to come on board and help in any way they can.
