The Zambia Table Tennis Association (ZTTA) has named a 23-member provisional squad for the Region Five Games to be held in Botswana at this month's end. ZTTA president Mutale Ng'andu said in an interview yesterday that the team had already started preparation and that the technical bench would select the final team of 12 players. Ng'andu said the Region Five Games are part of the World Championship qualifying Series and that his team should go to Gaborone with winning mentality a to progress to the next qualifying stage. "The preparations are going well and these Region Five Games should be taken seriously as they will act as part of the qualifiers for the World Championship," He said. N'andu further added that they are seeking support from the government and other stakeholders for the team's logistics to travel to Tunisia. The World Championships are to be Conducted next year in Korea.
