Yesterday marked the conclusion of the 4th Seminar for General Secretaries organized by NOCZ. The second day of the event was filled with informative sessions, starting with Dr. Frederick Chintangala, CEO of OYDC Zambia - Sports Development Centre, presenting on Environmental Sustainability in Sports. This was followed by Daisy Kopolo, Board Member and Chairperson of the Marketing and Finance Commission of the NOCZ, delivering a session on Sponsorship and Partnerships. Dr. Titus Fernando, Chairperson of NOCZ Medical Commission, led a session discussing the WADA Code and Compliance, addressing questions on anti-doping from the attendees. Dr. Katongo Moonga, Chairperson of NOWSPAR, moderated a panel discussion on NF Strategic Planning and DNSS Programme, featuring representatives from various sports, including Baseball & Softball, Basketball, Judo, Boxing, Badminton, and Triathlon. A virtual presentation by Stanley Mutoya, CEO of the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5, focused on the AUSCR5 Strategic Update related to the HEART28 Project. Session 9 provided an opportunity for an open discussion with NOCZ Secretary General, Boniface Kambikambi. This was followed by the presentation of the final report and action plan by Cecilia Tresha from Zambia Rugby Union (ZRU), who served as the Rapporteur General for the 2023 Seminar. To promote environmental sustainability, electronic certificates of participation were awarded to the participants, reducing the need for paper during this year's seminar.
