MMA Zambia has revealed its formidable squad of 15 fighters, who are set to represent Zambia at the highly anticipated IMMAF - International Mixed Martial Arts Federation Africa Championships in Luanda, Angola. The IMMAF Africa Championships is a prestigious platform for amateur MMA in Africa, with participants from 19 African countries that are part of IMMAF's extensive network of over 120 member federations. The selection process was rigorous, with a committee of coaches basing their decisions on the athletes' performances in both the Zambia National Amateur League (ZNAL) and the Fist of Valor event series. Congratulations to the following athletes for securing their spots in the National Team: Jonathan Banda, Tryford Mwaanga, Killian Lungu, Mutinta Mweene, Miracle Chipito, Chipego Simukuwa, Greg Maluma, Jai Chilufya, Portus Chama, Royd Tembo, Zayn DeJohn, Chomba Mwandila, Michael Zulu, Jarcel Chimbwe, and Abrahom Banda. Additionally, the following athletes have been placed on standby: Bernard Chisenga, Kelvin Ngoma, Daniel Muleba, Phillimon Banda, Paul Nkolomba, and Nathan Chilenga. All registered gyms are urged to keep their elite-level athletes in training, prepared for any potential changes due to external circumstances. The nation is eager to support its fighters in this significant sporting event.
