The National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) has embarked on a significant initiative to bolster National Sports Federations through the commencement of Phase 2 of the National Federation strategic plan formulation project. This crucial phase aims to provide support to five affiliate national sports federations/associations in developing strategic plans, with the ultimate goal of enhancing their organizational effectiveness and overall performance. Throughout a recent weekend, two strategic plan formulation workshops were conducted simultaneously from Friday, 21st July, to Sunday, 22nd July. The Zambia Martial Arts Federation (ZAMAF) workshop took place in Lusaka, while the Zambia Weightlifting Federation (ZWF) workshop was held in Kitwe. The NOCZ's efforts to initiate this second phase of the project demonstrate its commitment to fostering growth and development within the sporting community of Zambia. By equipping the affiliate national sports federations or associations with well-crafted strategic plans, they are paving the way for improved management and performance, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the entire sports landscape of the country.
