Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) General Secretary Joachim Nyoni says that the first-ever International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Beach Volleyball Level One Course, which begins today, will help build capacity for both local and international coaches. The course, which is set to attract around 46 participants, will take place from today up until June 30th, 2023, at OYDC-Zambia in Lusaka. Its aim is to equip participants with the necessary skills to become effective coaches. In an interview with The Times, Nyoni said that the course has come at the right time, as Zambia has had no qualified beach volleyball coaches for a long period of time. He added that participants would be drawn from the 10 provinces of Zambia, while two participants would come from Zimbabwe.
