Zambia Motor Sport drivers remain skeptical about participating in the international rally which is scheduled to be hosted in Lusaka from October 20th to 22nd due to relationship differences. The Zambia Motor Sport Association is still facing backlash from local drivers over their constitution, which seems to be unclear when applied to the people, as it is used as a tool to favor the executive. In the midst of the ongoing drama within the Zambia Motor Sport Association (ZMSA), President Sam Ching'ambu has firmly stated that his executive committee will not tolerate chaos in the administration of the sport. He affirmed that the Zambia International Rally would proceed, even if it meant without Zambian drivers. During a recent media briefing in Lusaka, Ching'ambu expressed disappointment at the behavior of some administrators who had taken their differences with ZMSA to the public instead of resolving them internally. He emphasized the importance of following established procedures and respecting authority. "Why is it that when applying your own rules, which are contained in your own constitution, you are unable to follow them in terms of giving credible checks and balances concerning the financial reports and the resolution of leadership?" the media present at the recent press briefing asked. The Zambia Motor Association, represented by Ching'ambu, stated that they will not cancel the upcoming international rally, even if local Zambian drivers do not participate. The rally will feature drivers from other countries.
