Reflecting on his journey, Kalengo mentioned that he had previously faced disappointment in 2018, having lost in the men's singles event and doubles. However, this time around, his success was nothing short of amazing. "It's an incredible feeling," Kalengo expressed during an interview conducted in Bulawayo. Recounting the gripping final, he explained that it was an arduous battle against a formidable adversary who possessed powerful shots. Despite being challenged by skillful drop shots, Kalengo managed to push his opponent to the backcourt and seize control of the match.
