The 141st Session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has made a historic decision to include new sports such as baseball/softball, cricket (T20), flag football, lacrosse (sixes), and squash in the program for the Los Angeles 2028 (LA28) Olympic Games. In response to this exciting development, Kundanji Kalengo, a Zambian squash player who recently represented the country at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, expressed his enthusiasm. He enthusiastically shared that this is fantastic news for the squash community, stating that opportunities to proudly represent the nation are rare. But having had the chance to compete in the Commonwealth Games and now with the prospect of participating in the Olympics becoming a reality, he is more motivated than ever to continue working hard as a squash athlete. Kundanji Kalengo won the Men's Singles Plate Final at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham after winning all three sets 11-8, 11-9 & 11-3 against Muqtadir Sadruddin NIMJI from Kenya.
