Preceding the much-anticipated national tournament, the OYDC Teqball Club showcased their dominance by overwhelming opponents Olympafrica with a resounding victory in all eight matches contested during the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. On the 12th of August 2023, these thrilling encounters not only stunned spectators but also served as a crucial platform for players to fine-tune their skills for the impending teqball national tournament, scheduled to unfold from the 9th to the 10th of September 2023 at the OYDC Zambia venue. This event is meticulously orchestrated by Teqball Zambia. Reflecting on the remarkable performance, Coach Richard Mulenga of the OYDC Teqball Club emphasized their relentless commitment to maintaining their supremacy. Mulenga proudly stated, "We dedicated ourselves to securing the apex. Across mixed doubles, singles, and doubles, we emerged victorious in all categories." In parallel sporting ventures, OYDC Zambia expanded its horizon to encompass football, netball, and boxing events on the same Saturday. The enthusiastic turnout of young athletes representing a diverse array of teams and clubs underscored the vibrancy of these disciplines. The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge, masterfully orchestrated by OYDC Zambia, drew an impressive congregation of over 500 athletes to its arena, imbuing the sporting arena with spirited competition and camaraderie.
