Zambia National Netball Team Coach Lazarus Tembo has named the final 14-Member Squad that will compete at the 3rd edition of the PacificAus Sports Netball Series in Australia from 23-29 April 2023. The Coach has included 6 new players who were not part of the Africa Netball World Cup Qualifiers in Pretoria last August. These are Ethel Pamba and Juliet Kaputeni in defense, Carol Moono, Justina Mwale, and Joyce Mwanza in Midcourt while Hellen Banda beefs up the shooting force. Experienced Diana Banda who has been to two world cup tournaments will lead the attack and will be accompanied by team captain Beauty Nakazwe. Diana, Carol, and Joyce will be going back to Australia for the second time after their exploits at the World Cup in 2015. Zambia is in Pool B alongside defending champions Tonga, Singapore, and Kenya. The Copper Queens will open the tournament against Kenya on 24th April 2023.
