The 2023 Lusaka Marathon has attracted more than 1,500 participants from both local and international backgrounds and is focused on fostering a healthy nation through exercising. ZA has joined forces with the End Malaria Council to combat the disease through this marathon. Peter Cottan, President of the End Malaria Council, emphasized the urgency of eradicating Malaria by 2030 and expressed commitment to achieving this goal. Elias Mpondela, President of Zambia Athletics, has called for increased sponsorship from diverse stakeholders to further increase support for this noble cause. The marathon, featuring a prize pool exceeding K100,000, is scheduled for December 9th.
