Monday, 24th April 2023, has marked the kick-off of the long-awaited Auspacific Netball Series Championship which is being held in Kenya. With Zambia's first play today, the Netball Copper Queens have defeated Kenya 45 - 49 goals after a tie in midplay of the game. The game began with pressure with Zambia maintaining the ball position and having fewer shots which went offshore but ended at 23: a 23 tie in the first half. In the second half, Kenya pulled up and gained ball position but their effort was unfruitful because of the energy and ball-keeping by Zambia's strong defense. With today's performance, we can conclude that Zambia has the potential to reach the semi-finals and become the prospect of lifting the trophy.
