Zambia is preparing to host the Africa's Strongest Man and Woman Championship 2023, a title that South Africa has held for the past 15 years. Participating nations will include South Africa, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Egypt, Ghana, DR Congo, Zimbabwe, and Zambia as the host country. The top three teams will qualify for the World Championships. Cherry Muchindu, coach and athlete from the Zambia Strong Man Federation, expressed the team's readiness to compete and their aspirations to secure a spot in the world championships. The federation is particularly excited to welcome Lynn Morehouse, one of the organizers of the world championships, to the event. They also extend their appreciation to the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts for their support. The three-day event is scheduled to take place from October 27 to 29 in Livingstone.
