The umpiring and coaching training which was scheduled to take place last month has yet again been postponed due to a low turnout of Participants. This has followed another postponement which was published last month between the 10th and 16th of April 2023, where few Participants had registered for the training. This month, the training was supposed to be connected from 6th to 7th May 2023 with the hope of many Participants registering their names for the program. The organizers of the event wrote to the public About the program being temporarily on halt due to the same reason. "This serves to inform all netball stakeholders that the governance, coaching, and umpiring training which was scheduled to be conducted at Ndola Skills Training Centre from Saturday to Sunday this month, has been postponed to a date to be advised," Netball Zambia said. The Association quoted that the move is meant to allow more candidates to register for the program. Netball Zambia Secretary General Pritchard Ngoma confirmed the postponement and advised Prospective candidates to get encouraged and quickly contact the Copperbelt Netball Association (CONA) for registration because spaces are still available. Many thoughts have risen as some people are questioning why the Association can not go on with the program after the few candidates who are present after establishing other factors which have caused the low turnout.
