Newly appointed Coach Lazarus Tembo has said that the team is ready for the PacificAus Sports Netball Series scheduled for play from 23rd to 29th April 2023. 19th April 2023, Tembo expressed happiness with the two weeks training program as the team left for Australia last night for the competition where he wants the team to push for rankings towards the Commonwealth Games. "The players gave us more than what we were expecting from them. They put in their level best and I can boldly say the team is more than ready for the assignment. I think the the team is going to present us well in Australia from what we saw from our technical point of view," Lazarus said. Vice-captain Orient Mwanza said the players were ready and fit physically, mentally, and psychologically for the Championship and had a good training program. We aim to perform well and come back with a medal because we know the expectations will be high from the fans," He said. Shooter Elizabeth Bwalya said the players worked hard to get to the required fitness levels after coming from the off-season.
