The 6th Heroes Kofukan Karate International Championship was hosted at OYDC in Lusaka on August 26th, with many spectators looking forward to the game. In an interview with Zed Sport this afternoon, Zambia Kofukan Karate and the organizer of the event shared that the event was a success because of the two countries and the number of clubs that turned out in large numbers. "It was a successful event that we hosted as Green Buffaloes were crowned champions of the tournament," said Kofukan Zambia. Kofukan disclosed that over 12 local clubs turned out and performed well at the championship, with many promising young people showcasing their talents. The association also added that despite the success, other organizations registered their teams on the actual day, causing a delay in the starting and ending of the event, which finished over 20 hours. The association is yet to share the actual statistical results, which will contain full information as the results are still being calculated.
