Zambia Hockey Association has donated 40 hockey sticks to OYDC Zambia to be used by athletes who are in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. Hockey Association General Secretary Elvis Bwalya has said that OYDC Zambia is helping many associations through the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge, stating that it is important to support the facility with sports equipment to be used by athletes at the grassroots level who are selected for national teams and clubs in the future. Elvis added that the association has benefited greatly from OYDC Zambia, testifying that the majority of athletes in national teams, both male and female, are those who started their journey at OYDC and have passed through its doors. OYDC Zambia's programs manager, Mwange Kampamba, who received the hockey sticks on behalf of the center, said that the donation comes at the right time as the center is organizing the midyear competition. Kampamba added that the athletes will enjoy using the new sticks, which is a kind gesture from the association. Mwange was joined by OYDC Zambia's finance manager, Benjamin Tembo, in receiving the donation.
