African Hockey Federation (AFHF) has awarded South Africa the rights to host the 2024 Paris Olympic Hockey Qualifiers which were originally slated for Ghana during the just postponed African Games. The tournament which will host both the men's and the women's teams will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa from October 29 to November 5. The winner per gender will qualify for the Paris Olympics while the runner-ups will have a second shot at the FIH Olympic Qualifiers which will be in January 2024.
