This morning, Green Buffaloes Netball Club left for Kenya to compete in the East Africa Senior Club Championship to run from 13th to 20th May 2023 at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi. The club's participation follows the triumph at the Champion of Champions tournament held in Lusaka in December 2022. The championship will draw teams from East and Southern Africa. Among the teams expected are Ugandan league champions Prisons and Kenyan giants also called Prisons. The 19-member delegation left for Kenya around 02:00 hrs this morning with the following travel delegation: Defenders: Prisca Matele, Besiya Katete, Gift Kanyanja Bunga, Memory Musonda, and Esther Kunda. Midcourt: Sarah Lukwanda, Justina Mwale, Joyce Mwanza and Brenda Mwila. Meanwhile, the shooters are Beauty Nakazwe, Monica Shanzi, and Brenda Mwaba with the technical bench having Head Coach Monica Malwa, assistant Coach Patricia Mwanza, team Manager Rodrick Mwenya, and team Doctor Maliti Kasongo. However, other members of management ensuring that everything is in order are the head of the delegation Angela Sulaje Phiri, Club Secretary Wellington Chabala, and Netball Zambia Secretary General Pritchard Ngoma.
