Sunday, 26th March 2023, marked a happy moment for the Prison Leopards for winning the Zambia Netball Open tournament after defeating the defending Champions, Green Buffaloes won 41-39 in the final series of matches played at the Lusaka International Community School. The two teams tied on goals after the full 40 minutes of play, the umpire later gave an extra ten additional minutes. The two teams were later given ten extra minutes and had a tie which made the umpire to take the game to a sudden end. When there is a sudden end, a team to take a 2-goal lead is crowned champions, and Prison Leopards did just that to defeat the champions. In the community category, Secret Girls of Chawama beat Kalingalinga United 28-22 while Green Buffaloes won the male category after a series of matches. In the corporate category, Zambia Air Force (ZAF) dominated after putting in much effort and managed to beat ZRA and ZANACO.
