A team of 15 fighters from Mixed Martial Arts Zambia (MMAZ) is prepared to showcase their skills and determination on the competitive stage. Featherweight contender, Jai Chilufya, is driven by the ambition to secure a gold medal at the upcoming championships. With unwavering determination, Chilufya expressed, "The African Championships present a valuable opportunity for all of us. Personally, my goal is to attain the coveted gold medal, and I firmly believe it is an achievable feat. I am committed to putting in the extra effort required, as everyone desires that coveted gold medal. My aim is to make a strong impact and fulfill the trust that MMAZ has placed in me." Bantamweight fighter Tryfordone Mwaanga, boasting a record of two wins in four fights, eagerly anticipates the chance to step onto the African stage. Mwaanga stated, "The African Championship stands as one of the most significant tournaments in our sport, and I am enthusiastic about competing. My determination to fight hard knows no bounds. This is a remarkable opportunity for me to showcase my capabilities within the cage." Welterweight athlete Greg Maluma envisions reaching the pinnacle of success, aiming to progress all the way to the final stages. "My objective is to represent my country by making it to the final, specifically in my category. I am fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead, but I possess the requisite qualities to endure and succeed," Maluma emphasized.
