The Copper Queens are travelling to Ireland today for an international friendly against the Republic of Ireland as part of Zambia's preparations for the upcoming World Cup. This friendly is one of three lined up by the Football Association of Zambia. Tomorrow, they will face Ireland at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin before returning to their base in Germany. On June 30th, they will play another friendly against Switzerland. Following their three-week training camp in Germany, they will have a friendly match against Germany. Coach Bruce Mwape is expected to announce the final squad after the Germany friendly, which will include the players representing Zambia in their debut appearance at the senior stage of the World Cup. The tournament will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
