In order for the Zambia Under-17 Women's National Team to practice for the Dominican Republic Under-17 FIFA Women's World Cup in October 2024, The Elite Ladies FC has been asked by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to release Coach Alex Sikanyika for a one-week camp. Currently serving in the Olympic Youth Development Center (OYDC), Sikanyika is an officer in the armed forces. In addition to coaching the Under 17 women's national team goalie, he serves as the first assistant coach and goalkeeper's coach for Elite Ladies FC. In the meanwhile, the Under 17 camp, which begins on Sunday, July 21, 2024, will be used to evaluate players' preparedness for the world cup as well as possible camp participants. Margaret Phiri, Saliya Mwanza, and Matildah Mukunda are anticipated at the camp.
