Para powerlifting athlete Richard Lubanza is determined to surpass his personal best at the upcoming 2023 Africa Para Powerlifting World Cup qualifiers, set to take place in Egypt from October 29th to November 6th, 2023. Lubanza recently achieved a personal best by lifting 160kg during the 2023 World Para Powerlifting Championship in Dubai, where he ranked 18th among 36 participants in the 72kg category. His coach, Amon Moyo, expressed confidence that Lubanza will deliver an even better performance at the 2023 Africa Para Powerlifting World Cup qualifiers. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Beene, the President of the Para Powerlifting and Fitness Association of Zambia, has appealed to the corporate world for support in helping the athlete.
