BANDA SCORES IN LECCE 4-0 WIN OVER PADOVA.

Lecce cruised to a 4-0 win over Italian third-tier side Padova in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday. Zambian winger Lameck Banda was on target for Lecce, scoring the second goal of the match in the 10th minute. Hamza Rafia had put the team in the lead three minutes into the match, and Brazilian Gabriel Strefezza made it 3-0 in the 17th minute. Jeppe Corfitzen needed just 13 minutes to make it 4-0 after replacing Lameck Banda in the 71st minute. Lecce will conclude their preseason with another friendly match against Serie B side Cittadella on Sunday. The Serie A campaign starts on August 20, when Lecce hosts Lazio at the Stadio Via Del Mare.
