The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and Reliable Utilities Zambia have joined forces to address one of the persistent issues in football. FAZ introduced the KoPa ball through a recent pilot project during the ABSA Cup, refining it in the background before taking the final steps to launch the venture. Reliable Utilities is now the official KoPa ball partner, manufacturing FIFA-approved KoPa balls for Premier League teams at a reasonable price. This partnership aims to establish uniformity and fair play in the Super and National Division One leagues for both men and women. The KoPa ball will be the official match ball for the top-tier leagues, mandatory for all Super League teams. Local dealers can also procure match and training balls from Reliable Utilities through appointed distribution centers. FAZ is also extending equipment support, providing 7,000 match balls valued at K17,500,000 to all 1,400 provincial teams. Distribution will occur in two phases according to the FAZ seasonal calendar. Furthermore, FAZ plans to announce additional equipment support in the coming weeks, reinforcing their commitment to provincial football development. In conclusion, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga urged football fans to turn out in large numbers and support the Chipolopolo boys in their World Cup qualifiers game against Congo Brazzaville in Ndola next Friday.
