Maestro United of Zambia (FC Muza) is gearing up for an exciting showdown this Sunday against DIABLES NOIRS of Congo Brazzaville in the CAF Confederation Cup's preliminary second round first leg. The match is set to take place at Heroes Stadium on September 17, 2023, with kick-off at 15:00. Head coach Mathews Ndhlovu confidently declared the team's readiness during a pre-match press conference today. He emphasized their preparations, especially in defense, and their improved attack, aiming to secure a comfortable lead at home before the away fixture in Congo Brazzaville. Ndhlovu shared, "We have prepared enough, and the morale in camp is high. The players are eager to play; we are just waiting for the encounter." The Mazabuka-based top-flight side enters the upcoming match injury-free, with Chipo Sondashi and Emmanuel Habasimbi having recovered in time to join the team for the match. "We need to seal the game at home at all costs," Ndhlovu stated, recognizing DIABLES NOIRS as a high-scoring team. "Looking at their record, we have worked on our defense, and there have been improvements. We have also fine-tuned our striking force and aim to win by at least a three-goal margin." Captain Kelvin Mwanza echoed the coach's sentiments, confirming the high morale within the camp. He expressed the team's readiness, emphasizing, "The team is ready to deliver; we have prepared enough, and everyone knows what is at stake."
