Trident Football Club
Kalumbila-based Trident Football Club has made a significant addition to their squad ahead of their debut season in the Zambian football top flight. The club took to social media to announce the signing of experienced goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya. The 27-year-old Ugandan shot-stopper joins Trident FC from Kenyan premier league side, Sofapaka FC, on a one-year contract. Kigonya is no stranger to Zambian football, having previously played for Forest Rangers FC in the transitional league, where he impressed as one of the standout performers. Following his stint with Forest Rangers, Kigonya continued his football journey by signing for Azam FC in the Tanzanian premier league.
