Copper Queens first-choice goalkeeper, Hazel Nali, has completed a successful left knee tendon reconstruction at St. George's Hospital in New Zealand. Following the surgery conducted by Surgeon Andrew Vincent in August, there were no immediate complications, and Nali is now on her way back home to Zambia. Her surgeon utilized a patella tendon graft to reconstruct Nali's Anterior Cruciate Ligament, achieving positive results. Nali is scheduled to arrive at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka today at 14:20, arriving on an Emirates flight. The medical team, comprising Surgeon Vincent and Physiotherapist Emma Beattie, expressed satisfaction with Nali's recovery, noting the restoration of basic range of movement and strength measures in her knee. They have outlined the next phase of her therapy, which involves reinforcing and conditioning her knee. This stage is anticipated to span 3 to 4 months, and the medical team is confident that a suitable therapist in Zambia can oversee and manage this phase effectively. The details of Hazel Nali's successful surgery and ongoing recovery were communicated to the media through a statement issued by Charles Mucholo, the First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambia High Commission to Australia and New Zealand.
