The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) will on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, broadcast live the World Cup qualifier match between the Chipolopolo boys and Niger, set for Morocco. The match, which kicks off at 21:00 hours, will be broadcast live on ZNBC TV1. This live broadcast comes at the back of the government-run TV's successful coverage of Zambia's 4-2 win over Congo Brazzaville last Friday, which enabled millions of viewers across the country to follow the proceedings from the comfort of their homes. ZNBC Head of Corporate Affairs Anne Mukabe speaking to ZNBC sports has appealed to the corporate world to partner with ZNBC to raise finances to broadcast all matches that Zambia will be involved in. She said the corporation will need about US$300,000 for the broadcast rights for all matches. The CAF 2026 World Cup qualifiers are not showing on the popular sports pay-TV channels Supersport South African owned as the broadcasters did not acquire the rights to show the matches. Therefore, ZNBC's move to show Zambia's matches is a welcome development for football fans in the country. ZNBC's coverage of the Chipolopolo boys' World Cup qualifying matches will provide an opportunity for football fans across Zambia to follow their national team's progress on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
