Edward Chilufya, the Sweden based winger, will not be available for Zambia's upcoming World Cup qualifier against Niger due to an unspecified illness. Chilufya was expected to travel with the Chipolopolo squad to Morocco for the match, but he was forced to remain behind due to his health condition. Chipolopolo assistant coach Moses Sichone confirmed the news, stating that Chilufya is being treated for the illness but that the exact nature of his condition is unknown. “Unfortunately, we have only one patient Edward Chilufya who remained back home because of sickness. We re not hundred percent sure on his illness.” Chilufya came on as a late substitute in Zambia's 4-2 victory over Congo Brazzaville on Friday. He replaced Lameck Banda and nearly scored Zambia's fifth goal, but his shot hit the crossbar.
