PEMBA Queens Football Club coach, Maxwell Bukoko, has expressed his firm belief that women's football in Southern Province possesses more potential than men's soccer. In an interview with Byta FM Sports, Bukoko highlighted the remarkable growth of female football in the region over the past two years since the inception of organized leagues, attributing this progress to the unwavering dedication of players and individuals involved in the sport. Bukoko emphasized the ease of coaching female footballers, citing their ability to readily grasp and adhere to instructions. This aspect, he believes, makes the sport increasingly appealing to young girls. With unwavering optimism, Bukoko expressed confidence that more female players from Southern Province will consistently secure positions in national teams. However, he raised concerns regarding the inadequate state of training facilities and the scarcity of appropriate tools, which he believes hinder the development of women's football in the province.
