The National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF), along with the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad). NOCZ President Alfred Foloko, joined by Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi and select staff, welcomed the nine-member delegation, led by NIF Secretary General Nils Eina Aas. In his opening statements, Foloko conveyed NOCZ's enthusiasm for hosting Mr. Nils Eina Aas and the Norad delegation, highlighting their collaborative efforts with various NIF partners, including NOCZ. Foloko also highlighted NOCZ's substantial achievements in the realm of safeguarding, an area strongly supported by NIF. He emphasized that the Zambian safeguarding model serves as a regional exemplar, poised for adoption by key stakeholders across the continent. Following this, Kambikambi provided an overview of NOCZ's programs supported by NIF, focusing on safeguarding, inclusion, coach development, and governance. Safe Sport Single Points of Contact (SPOCs), Memory Suliya, and Kenny Matishi from the Handball Association of Zambia (HAZ) and Zambia Baseball Softball Association (ZBSA), respectively, shared their experiences and success stories as SPOCs trained by NOCZ. The delegation, comprising individuals such as Frida Blomgren, Rune Arctander, Susanne B. Hvidsten, Marianne Haugh, Hilde Værda, Synnøve Aasland, Anja Wilhelmsen, and Nchimunya Mweetwa, then embarked on a tour of the Olympafrica Centre. They observed various sports activities before proceeding to OYDC where they actively participated in a safeguarding session and explored the facilities.
