Copper Queens defender Paulina Zulu has warned her teammates against underestimating Angola in their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, despite defeating the Angolans in the Cosafa tournament last month. "The game against Angola will be tough, and we don't need to underrate them just because we beat them during Cosafa," Zulu said. "Their game is always tough, and we need to have a strong mentality to win." Zulu, who was part of the Cosafa team that defeated Angola 3-1 in South Africa in October, believes that it is crucial for Zambia to start the two-legged tie with a win away from home when they face Angola on November 29th in Angola. "An away game is a must-win for us," she said. "It will boost our morale and give our supporters something to cheer about when we return home for the second leg." The Copper Queens will play their home leg of the tie at Ndola's Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, which has a capacity of over 40,000. Zulu has urged fans to come out in numbers and support the team. "My message to the fans is that they should believe in us and come out in numbers to support us," she said. "We can win at home, and we need their support to do it." The winner of the two-legged tie will qualify for the 2024 AFCON tournament, which will be held in Morocco.
