Lameck Banda, who had to ditch National Division One side Lumwana Radiant for Super League side Prison Leopards, announced his return to the top flight with a win at home against a dominant Maite side that couldn't find a way past Prison Leopards' defense. Banda, who made a name for himself with FC Muza last season winning games that his team was underdog on paper, has retuned and registered a similar story as Leopards entered Week 13 stuck in the relegation zone and second favorite to take away all three points against Maite, but it was the home side that took an early lead just nine minutes into the game with David Obashi's goal-of-the-season contender strike to set his team on a third win of the season. Mufulira Wanderers pushed for an equalizer in the first half, but it couldn't come as the home side managed to protect their lead up until halftime. The second half started on a similar fashion with the visitors enjoying the majority of possession while the home side had to stick to their game management and an opportunity presented itself in the 62nd minute when Chongo Mulenga added the second for Prison Leopards following a miscommunication at the heart of Wanderers' defense. The second goal was more like cherry on the cake for the home side as the visitors looked to be lost of ideas on how to get back into the game. A good return into the Super League for coach Lameck Banda; it will be interesting to see if he can turn things around at Prison Leopards, who are now out of the relegation zone on 13 points and 13th on the log, awaiting results from other matches in Week 13 fixtures.
