Zambian striker Kingston Mutandwa scored an opener as his Cagliari youth team secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over AC Milan away on Saturday. Mutandwa’s side went into the match as underdogs, but it was Mutandwa who gave them the lead with a goal in the 60th minute. Ivorian international Ismael Konate doubled the lead for Cagliari just few seconds later, but Milan pulled one back in the 64th minute through Mattia Liberali. Alessandro Vinciguerra restored Cagliari’s two-goal advantage in the 73rd minute, but an unfortunate own goal by Etienne Catena in the 77th minute gave Milan a lifeline. However, Konate scored his second goal of the game in the final minute of the match to seal the victory for Cagliari. The win sees Cagliari move up to eighth place in the table with 17 points, while Milan remain second on 23 points from 11 games played. Mutandwa has been in fine form for Cagliari recently, with two goals in his last three games. He has also been regularly drafted into the Cagliari first team to gain more experience.
