Copper Queens striker Racheal Kundananji scored a brace for Madrid CFF on Sunday in a La Liga F round 10 encounter, helping her side to a thrilling 4-3 victory away against Levante. With this brace, she has now scored seven goals in ten games for her club this season. Kundananji, who has been in fine form for both club and country, is poised to join the national team directly in Luanda, Angola, ahead of Wednesday's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers first leg. She is among six foreign-based players who are yet to report for national team duty, with the international break for women's football starting on November 26th. China-based Barbra Banda, Israel-based Racheal Nachula, Turkish duo Misozi Zulu and Hellen Chanda, and Mexico-based Prisca Chilufya are expected to link up with the other 17 players who have already traveled to Angola for the first leg. Kundananji has enjoyed a good start to the campaign in Spain, with nine goal involvements in just ten games. She will be hoping to replicate that form when she turns up for Zambia away on November 29th and at home in Ndola on December 5th for the second leg. Having missed the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, Kundananji will be eager to help the team qualify for the tournament set for Morocco next year.
