Barbra Banda and Racheal Nachula have landed in Luanda ahead of a crucial Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Angola scheduled for this Wednesday. The pair arrived at Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport via Ethiopian Airlines, the plane touching down at 12:25 local time. With their presence, the Copper Queens camp now boasts a total of 19 players. Hellen Chanda, Misozi Zulu, and Prisca Chilufya are expected to join the squad later this afternoon. Racheal Kundananji is en route to Luanda and is anticipated to arrive on Tuesday morning. The highly-anticipated clash between Angola and Zambia in the second round, first leg qualifier is set for 17:00. The return leg is scheduled for December 5, 2023, at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. The ultimate winner over the two legs will secure a spot in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
