chipopolopo boys' speedy winger Lameck Banda played almost the entire match for US Lecce, who drew 2-2 away to Verona in a Serie A match on Monday, extending their winless run to nine games in all competitions. Banda, who had a good game for the national team against Congo Brazzaville a fortnight ago in a 4-2 win in Ndola, in a match in which he scored and provided an assist, didn't do much on Monday during his club's 2-2 draw against Verona, who are threatened with relegation just 13 games into the new season. The Zambian played the majority of the match before being substituted for Lorenzo Venuti in second-half stoppage time, though he didn't do much in terms of goal contribution apart from earning himself a yellow card in the first half of the tie. Banda will be looking forward to forgetting a disappointing display on Monday when his side takes on Bologna on Sunday in week 14. Lecce are 13th on the log with 15 points from 13 matches, nine points off the top four and five points above the relegation zone.
