Zesco United FC extended their winning streak to four matches with a commanding 3-1 victory over FC Muza at Nakambala Stadium. The match was one-sided from the start, with Zesco dominating possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Enock Sakala, who has been in scintillating form recently, opened the scoring for Zesco in the ninth minute. He doubled his tally in the 32nd minute, taking his goal count in the last two games to four, having also scored two goals in Zesco United's 3-1 home win over Nkana last weekend. FC Muza struggled to find their way back into the game, and their hopes of a comeback were further diminished when Kelvin Kampamba added a third goal for Zesco in the second half. FC Muza managed a consolation goal in the first minute of added time through Andrew Phiri, but it was too little too late. The defeat was the second of the season for FC Muza, and Andrew Phiri's strike has taken him back to the top of the top scorers chart with 8 goals. However, the win leaves Zesco United firmly at the top of the league table with 28 points, while FC Muza remains in fourth place with 22 points.
